Election Reform

We believe that every man and woman are able to vote once they reach the age of 18. In order to win an election you must win the popular vote and not the states vote. It is necessary to allow everybody regardless of race or social status. Everybody must vote for their president or governor.

We chose the age of 18 because we feel that is the age that the brain becomes fully matured and (s)he can make an informed decision about who they vote for. There are some kids who mature earlier but a majority are not.

We don’t believe in the electoral college because they do not represent the people very well; the people are the best representatives for the people. We would have computers count the popular vote instead of the states vote. In order for there to be a real vote, the people must be the ones that say who they want to lead them. We want to avoid the Gore-Bush problem because then people that they have been cheated out of their say.

There is no discrimination in voting because if you were born in the United States you are an American citizen. If you are down on your luck and living out on the streets or if your are an Asian/African-American you are able to vote. They are all Americans and deserve to vote.
